Chatpat

FCB India | FCB Chicago

Brand: SOS Children's Villages of India

Year: 2022

30 million abandoned and orphaned kids in India live in poverty — a problem that’s not solved by the Indian government alone.

With kids at the center, FCB Chicago, FCB India, and FCB Kinnect came together to create “Chatpat,” a loveable and persuasive 10-year-old influencer. “Chatpat” recreated India’s most popular commercials from the most recognizable brands frame by frame, and publicly offered those reactions to the brands on social media in exchange for donations to SOS Children’s Villages –– a donor-based organization that helps create a better future for vulnerable children.

The work was immediately loved by the people of India and Chatpat soon became a celebrity, amassing an army of fans and followers to help spread his message and turning him into a viral influencer overnight. Without any paid media, Chatpat increased brand impressions by 1,506% and raised corporate donations by 61.5% YoY –– resulting in over $300K of corporate donations.
