FCB Appoints Paulo Fogaça as CEO of Brazil

Appointment follows recent client wins from brands including CVC and Stellantis

SÃO PAULO – FCB today announces the appointment of Paulo Fogaça as Chief Executive Officer of its Brazil office.

One of the industry’s most awarded executives, Paulo has over 25 years of experience driving sustainable growth for brands inside the large agency networks as well as building independent agencies from the ground up. He brings an extensive global perspective to the role having spent several years in global and regional roles outside of Brazil. His immediate priority will be to connect FCB’s global reputation for brilliant creativity and effective work to the Brazilian market by identifying opportunities for collaboration, driving client growth and solidifying client-agency relationships, and attracting new talent to be part of FCB’s global network of creatives. In parallel, Paulo will work with the Brazil leadership team to enhance the agency’s reputation for applying creativity to deliver meaningful business growth to clients and building long-standing client relationships.

Paulo, who will be relocating back to São Paulo, begins officially at the end of February. He will report to FCB Global CEO Tyler Turnbull and succeed Ricardo John, who announced his plans to leave FCB Brazil last year.

Tyler Turnbull, Global CEO of FCB, said: “What excites me most is Paulo’s energy and infectious enthusiasm for the economic power of creativity. He has an incredible track record of building great agencies by placing talent, culture and creativity at the center. This is something that aligns perfectly with our vision for FCB globally and ultimately is what leads to the positive business growth our clients expect us to deliver.”

Susan Credle, Global Chair & Global Chief Creative Officer of FCB, said: “We set out to find a leader who understands the nuances of the Brazilian landscape and sets the bar ever higher for work that will serve as an economic multiplier for brands. Paolo, with his incredible body of work and pride in Brazil’s reputation in the industry, is the right creative mind to lead FCB Brazil into its next phase.”

Paulo added: “FCB is an agency synonymous with creative excellence, effectiveness and award-winning work. There is fantastic momentum in Brazil, the market is incredibly creative and culturally rich, and I am excited to shape not only the future of FCB Brazil but that of our clients’ businesses and brands also. On a personal note, it’s a bit of a homecoming for me – returning to my family in Brazil. I am grateful FCB has given me this opportunity to do what I love surrounded by the people I love.”

Paulo was most recently US CEO at Dentsu Creative where he was responsible for formalizing the creative vision and strategy for the group. Prior to Dentsu Creative, Paulo was a founding member and Global COO and Partner at Gut where he ran global agency operations across the agency’s five offices in Miami, Toronto, Mexico, São Paulo and Buenos Aires. Before that, Paulo was a lead architect and Global COO of DAVID, where he oversaw offices in Miami, Buenos Aires and São Paulo. Earlier in his career, Paulo spent seven years at Ogilvy where he rose through the ranks, ultimately becoming managing director and working across local, regional and global business management for several of The Coca-Cola Company brands.

Paulo has worked on groundbreaking campaigns, including “Google Home of the Whopper,” “Wiener Stampede” and Budweiser’s Super Bowl efforts to support communities in need. He has been featured on prominent industry lists, including Advertising Age’s 40 Under 40, Adweek’s 50 & Young Influentials and won numerous industry accolades, including Effie Awards, Grand Clio Awards and Cannes Lions Grand Prix, among others.
