Martina Suess Cromer joined FCB as Global Chief Communications Officer in 2023, partnering with Global CEO Tyler Turnbull to help build on the momentum of the storied, 150-year-old agency — momentum fueled by some of the industry’s biggest new business wins and global Agency of the Year honors.
A dynamic and strategic communicator, Martina brings an elite capability in brand and executive reputation-building. She has delivered measurable impact for agencies and brands undergoing some of the world’s most visible marketing and business transformations. At FCB, she leads the agency’s global communications strategy, driving creative storytelling, executive visibility, and cross-market collaboration to enhance the agency’s influence and the reputations of the clients it serves.
Prior to joining FCB, Martina led U.S. communications for WPP, the world’s largest marketing communications company. There, she elevated the company’s reputation across its biggest market, amplifying its leadership, campaigns, and purpose-driven work, from a multi-agency push for LGBTQ+ equality to provocative cultural activations like placing protest billboards in Florida. She also helped WPP earn a spot on Fast Company’s 2023 Most Innovative Companies list and strengthened the visibility of its global executive team.
Her career spans senior roles at iCrossing and Wunderman, where she helped reshape communications functions into growth-driving centers of excellence. But beyond the work, Martina is passionate about developing the next generation of communications leaders, mentoring rising talent and supporting them as they build meaningful careers in an ever-changing industry.
A San Francisco native, she earned her BA in English Literature from the University of Colorado and began her career in film publicity. She now lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children and is always on the hunt for her next great restaurant find.
