Mark’s role as CFO does not include trying to find the right algorithm, software program, or AI to calculate the value of individual creative ideas, but he is a staunch believer that the agency’s bottom line, and the success of its clients, rests within the brilliance and relevance of its creative product.
A true strategic partner to the global leadership team, Mark ensures FCB’s global business operations are run in a way that empowers the creative discipline. He works across all of FCB’s global offices to help drive new growth, operational efficiency, and the culture of excellence that supports the entire network.
Mark joined FCB in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer to lead the agency’s finances and operations in Chicago where he also added responsibility as Chief Technology Officer a few years later and had oversight of IT, project management, and office services. He was then promoted in 2019 to CFO for North America where he played a key role in driving the reorganization and operational impact of the FCB network and influencing the network’s corporate strategy and resource investments.
Mark studied at Michigan State University and began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young, Detroit where he became a CPA. He then spent 13 years at IPG agencies, including Campbell Ewald in Detroit, and McCann Worldgroup’s agencies in Detroit and Salt Lake City.
Mark enjoys spending time outdoors and loves to golf, ski, bike, and hike with his wife Angela and their three children.
