It all started in 1873, when Daniel Lord opened an office in Chicago to sell advertising space. As the oldest creative agency brand in the world today, we continue to help our client partners apply the universal truth about their brands to build their businesses, connect with their customers, and impact the world around us — even as it evolves at the speed of culture.
It's a capability that’s embedded in our DNA and has allowed our brand to endure for over 150 years.
In 1916, one of our founders, Albert Lasker, worked with a new client, the California Fruit Growers Exchange, to solve two problems: competition from other growers and an unusual bumper crop of oranges. Albert Lasker branded the growers association as “Sunkist” and developed a new product — orange juice. Lasker didn’t just sell more fruit. He reshaped behavior, built a brand, and set new standards for modern marketing.
This vision still drives us at FCB and like the best ideas, we’re Never Finished.
